I have been working on this list for several days and I finally finished it. I don't know why I had such a hard time doing it but it ended up being very therapeutic. Here it is:
1. My middle name is Traci, after my great-grandfather Tracy Y. Cannon, because I was born on his birthday.
2. I grew up in SLC.
3. My favorite color is blue and always has been.
4. I have a bowl of ice cream almost every night after my kids get in bed.
5. I have to take a HOT bath every night or else I can’t sleep well.
6. I have 6 kids, 3 boys, 3 girls
7. One daughter and one son are adopted from China
8. My last three kids are only 15 months apart.
9. I love Little House on the Prairie. It was my favorite book and tv series when I was a kid.
10. I broke my arm on a trampoline when I was 12. My son broke his arm on a trampoline when he was 9.
11. I still think the trampoline is the best babysitter in the world.
12. I majored in English at BYU.
13. I would have loved to be a pioneer.
14. I went to the BYU Jerusalem Center in 1993. It changed my life.
15. I learned how to waterski on one last summer (after many summers of trying)
16. I graduated from BYU on April 28, 1995 but missed it because I was in the hospital giving birth to my oldest son.
17. I am very impatient. I have a hard time waiting for things. I believe in seizing the moment even though it may bring some hardship (see number 8)
18. I am completely gray underneath my hair color.
19. I haven’t had my hair colored in 2.5 months, I keep redying my roots.
20. I have a deep testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
21. I wear socks to bed. This drives my husband crazy.
22. I love to travel but only enjoy being gone for a few days. I prefer to take several quick trips instead of a two week vacation.
23. I am very social.
24. I am bossy.
25. I am the oldest of 7 kids (see above)
26. I love to sell things on ebay.
27. I have a scar on my eyebrow from playing duck, duck, goose when I was 7.
28. I have served in primary for 9 straight years
29. I love quilts. I made my first quilt ten years ago and used to go to a quilt group with a bunch of “wise” (older) women from church.
30. I scrapbooked until child number 4
31. I want to start digital scrapbooking. I think it sounds easier than dragging out all my supplies
32. I subconsciously named my youngest son “Jack” after Jack Bauer
33. My guilty pleasure is “24.” I know I shouldn’t watch that show but I love it.
34. I’ve been to China three times.
35. I spent one week in a Chinese orphanage as part of a medical mission correcting cleft lips and palates.
36. I have no medical experience, I went as a baby rocker.
37. I have no desire to work outside the home.
38. I always wanted a large family, but large to me meant 4 kids.
39. I am having a hard time making this list.
40. I can’t sing but I love music.
41. When I was a kid my dream car was a TransAm
42. I love country music.
43. I used to be in love with Michael Jackson. I was too young to want to marry him so I wanted him to adopt me instead. Knowing what I know now that was SICK!
44. I’m a conformist.
45. I’m not very organized but strive to improve daily in this area.
46. My life motto is “No Regrets.”
47. This became my motto in 1990 when I was a freshman at BYU.
48. I loved every minute of BYU and every fall I have a small yearning to return.
49. I loved growing up in the 80’s and love every bit of pop culture associated with the 80’s.
50. I took five semesters of Hebrew at BYU.
51. I have never been to New York City! It is a dream of mine to go but other destinations keep getting in the way.
52. After my kids are raised I want to live in China.
53. I am a direct descendant of Brigham Young and John Taylor.
54. My two closest friends are long distance friends. We get together at least four times a year.
55. This blog is the most consistent journal I have kept in years.
56. I like to decorate my house.
57. I love children.
58. My heart breaks for children throughout the world who are growing up without a family.
59. I cry whenever I watch Extreme Makeover, Home Edition.
60. I am generous. One of my dreams is to pay for another family to adopt a child.
61. I have become more generous by watching my VERY generous father-in-law.
62. I have a difficult time reconciling my materialistic self with my generous self.
63. I love holidays and try to make each holiday memorable for my family.
64. I also love birthdays.
65. I prefer the lake to the ocean.
66. I have had two c-sections. They were very difficult for me.
67. I love to teach, although it doesn’t come naturally to me.
68. I love temple square. I have great memories of going there as a child. My heart skips a beat everytime I fly into SLC and see the temple.
69. One of my most vivid memories is watching our neighbor’s house burn to the ground when I was about six.
70. My husband is good at keeping in touch with long-distance friends. He makes me do the same.
71. I have always had one close friend and prefer that to a big group of friends. As I’ve become an adult my circle of friends has expanded.
72. I love Les Miserables.
73. I think the internet is the best.
74. I like to eat out.
75. I enjoy cooking more than baking.
76. I love strawberry homemade ice-cream.
77. I love living where there are four seasons.
78. I would rather be with my husband than my girlfriends, except for book group nights.
79. I was chair of an art auction that raised close to $40,000 for Chinese orphans needing heart surgery.
80. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I will hopefully do it again when my kids are a little older.
81. I’ve had many trials but feel I live a charmed life.
82. I love people magazine. I also love the Ensign.
83. I often internalize other people’s problems as if they are happening to me.
84. I have blue/grey eyes.
85. I love the Office.
86. I watch too much TV.
87. I have always loved to read. My dad taught me to speed read when I was a kid and my best childhood memories are riding my bike to the library and checking out stacks of books.
88. The only way I get through the day is chocolate. It soothes my soul.
89. My dad lives in Brazil.
90. I’m not good at returning messages.
91. I love the blogging world.
92. Thai food is my favorite, followed by Mexican.
93. I almost always just drink water.
94. I have an unhealthy addiction to cheese. I just discovered Havarti with dill and it’s so yummy.
95. I haven’t had a drop of milk since I was five or 6. I had a bad milk experience. My kids unfortunately have picked up on this and rarely drink milk. My husband loves milk.
96. Elder Bednar is my favorite apostle.
97. The best part of my day is when all the kids are tucked in their beds sleeping soundly.
98. My two napping kids have completely given up their naps. This was a big adjustment for me.
99. I always see the silver lining in situations.
