Jonah started his birthday celebration bright and early by going to work with one of our favorite kids in our ward. He owns his own lawn care business and earlier this spring Jonah commented that he would like to do a similar thing to earn money. We asked Sam if Jonah and Eli could shadow him and learn about his business. They have been practicing by mowing my mom's lawn. After they finished their hard work we went to Grandma's for her famous and to die for buttermilk pancakes.
Then it was off to Wall*e.
Here are 11 things about Jonah:
1. He's a great artist. His artwork was selected for an exhibit at the library. His 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Peterson ignited this love of art.
2. He's a great student and has had straight A's for 5/6 of the last trimesters. He got one B the first trimester of 4th grade.
3. He's a great friend and very loyal.
4. He's a little entrepeneur. At the end of the school year he co-authored a comic book and sold 27 copies to kids in his class and on the bus. He has several plans for businesses he wants to start.
5. He's a great big brother to the little kids and a great little brother to Eli.
6. He loves music, especially the stuff Jason and I listen to.
7. He has a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
8. He loves the water and has truly embraced the lake.
9. He's a hard worker and recently painted our swingset.
10. He loves games. Settlers of Catan is one of his favorites.
11. He's very enthusiastic and has a great attitude about life.
