Fabulous 4th

Emma & Sierra

We spent our traditional 4th of July at the lake. This year was made even better by a visit from our Boise cousins. The kids all had a great time playing and hanging out with each other. The weather had been so hot all week but cooled down on Friday. The lake was very choppy and crowded which meant we spent a lot of time just playing in the water at the cabin. Luckily we were up early and got some good skiing in before the crowds arrived. Things died down in the evening too and we were able to kill some time out on the water before the fireworks started. We did our own mini show and sparklers then headed out on the water for the good stuff. The next day our kids all slept in later than they ever have--Anna was the first up at 9:30 am. We headed back out to the lake for more fun. We were all tired so the "fun" part was questionable. After all our quality family time Jason and I were in serious need of some alone time so we decided to see "Get Smart." It was OK--I liked it but didn't love it. My favorite Steve Carrell movie is still "Dan in Real Life." All in all a great weekend.
